The business and the challenge

ASAP Mobile Tyres is a 24/7 emergency mobile tyre fitting and puncture repair service in Dublin. Its customers are drivers stuck with a flat who need someone fast, so the goal of the ads was to make the phone ring.

When I took over, the account wasn't set up to turn searches into calls, so the budget wasn't working as hard as it should. I rebuilt it with one aim: more calls from the right customers, at a cost that made sense for the business.

What I did

  1. Fixed the setup

Corrected the bidding and the location targeting, so the ads showed to drivers in the Dublin service area.

  2. Built the campaign around urgent searches

Focused on what stranded drivers actually type, like emergency tyre repair, mobile tyre fitting and puncture repair.

  3. Let the data lead the way

Built up a solid base of real call data, so every decision in the account was based on what was actually bringing in customers.

  4. Tracked every call

Set up call tracking so every call from an ad, and every tap on the website's call button, is counted.

  5. Matched the website to the ads

Rewrote the homepage around the keywords and added service sections and real Google reviews, so more clicks turned into calls.

The results

65calls in the first month
300+calls a month by August
~200calls a month, holding steady since

That's close to five times the calls of the first month. More than half of all calls came through the website.

Where the calls came from

1,124 calls in total. Each ad click is counted once, so repeat calls from the same person aren't double-counted. Figures are taken directly from the Google Ads account.
